pi v0.86.1 adds Meta Muse subscription login and fixes Cerebras strict-schema errors

pi v0.86.1 was published on September 20, 2026, about twelve hours after v0.86.0. The headline addition is a new provider: Meta. /login meta signs in with a Muse subscription and refreshes the Model API key automatically; META_API_KEY covers key-based setups. Through either route the Muse Spark models become selectable.

Launch time gets its own change: Node’s persistent compile cache is enabled before the bundled CLI runtime loads, so repeat launches skip recompilation.

The /bug command shipped in v0.86.0 picks up two corrections — descriptions no longer drop line breaks from pasted diagnostics, and the hints no longer appear for user cancellations or retryable provider failures such as service unavailability. Clipboard handling also firms up: copying failed in containers and WSL setups without WSLg, so the OSC 52 fallback is restored when no display is available and a verified Windows clipboard backend lands for WSL (#9688).

Two inherited provider fixes round out the release, both arriving through the pi-ai layer. z.ai Prompt too long errors are now recognized as context overflow (#9805), and Cerebras models stop advertising unsupported strict tool schemas — the mismatch caused HTTP 400 errors whenever strict and non-strict tools were mixed in one request (#9804).

The full notes are on the v0.86.1 release page, with tracking-issue and contributor links where available.
